You have to use the default myspace editor. It doesn't work with the premade layouts. If you can find the same background, not an entire layout, you can copy and paste the URL (not the html code). Good places to look for similar backgrounds would be a website like Photobucket.com





Once you find a background, copy the URL. Log into your myspace account and find the link for Myspace Editor. It's located on your homepage. Click on that link. Next click on the tab that says Customize. After that, click on the background tab. Next, you will need to choose "Background Image." Click on the box that says "Use Image." Paste the URL underneath it. Click on Save.





You can also use the photos in your photo albums as backgrounds. Or save a background image as a jpeg and add it to your album. That's the method my sister used on her profile. If you use this method, all you have to do is click on the "My Photos" link and scroll down until you find the picture/image you want to use. Just click on the photo and the URL pops up by itself. All you have to do after that is click save.
Reply:Go to edit my profile and then go to account settings. Click on privacy and they'll be a button that makes your profile public
