ok so a fake myspace profile was made about this girl and all the info was completely fake...email address and the girls name....but the girl found out it was made and might be pressing charges against the girl who made it....is tehre anyway at all to find out who really made the profile? it was deleted back in NOV....and the email address was fake as well as the name. but it was telling mean things about this girl

The police can trace it back to the ip address where it was created. However most of the time for something as small as that they wont even bother. It takes a computer investagative team to do something like that and most police departments are to cheap for that. The most that would happen is they minght question the other girl and they minght put a restraining order on her. now they minght trace it back im not positive but usually they would rather not. They also minght not do anything and just say kids will be kids you never know with the police.
Reply:Authorities would be able to trace the IP address and determine the computer it was created on.
