How can I find the NAME of my computer profile in my hard disk?
I have been trying to copy data from my old computer profile to a NEW profile I have created. I have the following as part of the instructions I need: "Locate the C:\Documents and Settings\Old_Username folder, where C is the drive on which Windows XP is installed, and Old_Username is the name of the profile you want to copy user data from." My problem now is: How to identify which of many NAMES under " Documents and Settings" ( in my hard disk) is the NAME of my OLD computer profile. In the hard daisk, there are so many folders and sub-folders with different names. Which of all these is the NAME of my OLD computer profile ?

If you're trying to effect the look so that others will see it a certain way. People viewing it are doing so with different browsers and people can even customize the same browser to display things differently.
So if you're not just doing it for your own view, it's a moot point since you can't have perfect control over the way others are seeing it.

I am having the same problem. I contacted yahoo's customer care for the member directory just today and received the following response: "We assure you that we are aware of the "Photo Upload" issue and have escalated this to our Engineering Department for further investigation. We hope to have it resolved as soon as possible." I understand your frustration and I guess there is nothing we can do about it. If you have a photo on another site and are comfortable doing so, you can add that to your profile with a link or you can create a photo album with a select picture or pictures and make it viewable to the public and direct people there as well. Unfortunately, you cannot completely delete a Yahoo! 360 account. It's linked to your primary Yahoo! ID. If you want to delete your Yahoo! There are a few different ways to do this,

My fiance has a 360 on her Yahoo name, but no member directory listing. So far she has not been able to make a public profile. In order for her to view my photos page, she must have an Adult profile. Okay so I'm 36 1/2 weeks pregnant.. I was originally seeing my gyno through my pregnancy and then she referred me to an obst. So I had one visit with him last week.. He sent me for a BPP (biophysical profile) I asked him why and he didn't really give me an answer.. When I asked my gyno why she was referring me to someone else she also didn't really give me an answer.. I feel like I'm getting the run around by everyone.. I know my amniotic fluid is "average or slightly below" but both dr's have reassured me that they're not concerned at all.. So why would he send me for a BPP if there was no cause for concern??? Anyone else been dealing with a lack of straight up answers from their doctors? This is my first child that I've delieved so it's all new.. I do have 3 other children, however one is a step daughter and 2 are foster children, so i've never had to deal with all the "pregnancy" bits before!! Please help! I'm starting to stress lol!

Go to your 360 page and click on SETTINGS. Then in BASIC INFO, scroll down to where it says YAHOO IDENTITY DISPLAY and choose the FIRST option. Scroll down a little bit farther and where it says to activate your simple URL...put a check mark in that box. Copy that URL, then click save. This should give you your OLD Yahoo profile back. Once you are back into your OLD Yahoo profile, you can paste that simple URL that you copied in there and you will have a link to your 360 profile there. Don't forget to click save when done.

I decided to try out the 360 Beta profiles. I don't like it. My profiles are all designed for Role Playing purposes and I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to change my main profile back to the original Yahoo! one it used to be.

I've had my other yahoo account since 1997. I'm currently 27 and have changed the profile to reflect that...however, the account doesn't recognize it. You will need to send them your Simple URL, found by going to Settings.. scroll down to Yahoo Identity Display. Or, go to their 360 Top Page and find the ADD link just below their profile picture. Click it and send them an invitation to become your friend. They will automatically become one of you Favorites..once they accept, you can put them in your Friends category. Send all your friends that you want to visit your 360 the Simple URL by e-mail, IM or post it on any other sites you might have..like MySpace. Also, Trixie, I visited your 360 and you need to change your Comments on your Top Page to Public or you restrict yourself to comments from only friends. Click on My Page at the top and then look just above the comments..change who can leave comments from Just Friends to Public and keep Quick Comments enabled. Save it. I am the commish for a yahoo fantasy football league that i have had on yahoo for the past 6 years. in my fantasy profile, i can go back and look at the schedules and rosters for 5 of the 6 years. for the 2003 season there is no data. did yahoo lose all its information that year? if not, how do i get it put on? thanks,

Even though I haven't taken my profile down, I don't access it sometimes several days. I wouldn't mind it if it were done once in a while until we got closer. But he is doing that even as we are getting closer, and just after we scheduled a date. It seems disrespectful because it is often minutes before or after he has called me. Advice or thoughts?
So, I called him and canceled our date with some excuse. He is the one that seems to be wanting to be closer than what my timing is, though so far the interest is pretty mutual. We are not exclusive, haven't talked about it, nor have we had sex.
We HAVE kissed and made out for long periods of time. We have had long dates, 12 hours long. We have each other's personal email address, so he is NOT checking for email from me. He CAN see my profile and pictures without logging on his account. I can see his, I know this is the case.

Why would he think you would care if he is active on the online dating site if you are just casually dating? He doesn't need to take your lead as to how often you check your profile to mean how often he should be checking his profile. If he isn't insecure, he probably thinks when you cancel the date you're cancelling for the reason you say you are.
Communication is KEY here. You're gonna have to stop expecting him to read your mind. If you want to be exclusive, talk to him about it. If you want to continue casually dating, then you need to come to terms with the fact that casually dating means both of you can date other people (and may find those people through the same online dating site the two of you met on).
It can be hard to come out and say what you want, but if you don't you're never going to get it and you're going to drive away great guys by playing the "why aren't you reading my mind?" game. I'm living proof success IS possible on online dating sites...I met my fiance through an online dating site. It didn't happen instantly, so before meeting him I had lots of online dating site experience.

I personally think it should have been stopped after "The only light that resides is within the back of my eyes." After that is just like a whole nother poem. Good writing though.

It's too bad that in this forum we can't be more honest. When I first started, I posted a poem, and some nice fellow said words to the effect, ... well, come to think of it, I'll just quote him, because, after all, he wrote it, and in a public forum: I'm sure he's actually quite proud about what he said.
This is his comment about my poem, my very first posting on Yahoo answers," By the way, you may believe your heavy handed overly worded insignificant jumble of meaningless tripe the greatest thing since Poe but its really a pathetic attempt.”
I'll be honest with you, I was a little hurt, because I have been in Yahoo poetry groups for 5-6 years and even have a couple of my own, and we don't talk to each other like that. But in this forum, any time you offer your writing, you stand the chance of getting this kind of stuff.
You also get a lot, I have noticed of comments that indicate pretty clearly that the person completely missed your point and either can't read, is lazy, has diminished mental capacity or serious social issues, if not psychological issues. And that is why you, and I, and we, have gotten smarter now, and write little intro's to our poems.
I once wrote this: "Enjoy the sentiment? You can despise it if you like. I know this forum now. If so, sorry wasted your time?" You know, and it's sad, but what I was doing was fending off, in advance, some of the real deadbeat comments. Yes, deadbeat.
I'm not angry about deadbeat answers; but I'm just raising the subject, because they cast a pall over the community. When people are allowed to vent their personal problems through this forum, it has an effect. You know, we used to say, "Put mind into gear; engage mouth (or pen) (or keyboard).
Words can cut like a knife. Yes words, and everyone knows it. I can say words to you that hurt more than a hard slap in your face or a punch in your gut. Sooooooooooo easy, just like that. And that's just chicken ... Really chicken, the numbies that hide in their little rooms somewhere and spew out their neuroses and ... enough.
It’s not hard to be mean: any idiot can do that. It’s not always easy to care about other people’s feelings and make a positive inter-personal and social contribution with our words, action, lives.
I'm actually making a point.
The point is this. That's a beautiful "love-lost" poem. At a certain moment, when we realize that a true love has been lost, it is like all life itself is lost. Life has no value or meaning, but more than that, the feelings are intense -max.
I believe that honesty requires all of us to admit, share and sign-in on this one. Further, if you don't, you're lying or you've never been in love.
Love is, in many ways what we ultimately live for, whether we realize it or are willing to admit it or not. Love: giving it and receiving it, sharing it spreading it around, treasuring it, nurturing it, experiencing it, feeling it, writing about it, sharing about it.
Machos who can't own up to this is are a sad case.
I'll take your poem just as it is.
I've been there, done that.
Too bad we can't share the most important things in life, isn't it?
Really too bad that we have to "lighten up" and swirl around in superficialities.

I rest here and sit
Cutting up your pics
As i wish to slit my wrists
with rusted bits
of broken razor blades;
I hide behind this shade
of black that seems to fade,
and seems to erase
after tears run down and smear
my eyeshadow that bleeds black in the mirror;
No one seems to understand
this pain inside...
So, i run and hide
within the vessels of my mind;
The only light that resides
is within the back of my eyes;
I wake to a sun that's cloaked in black velvet...
I sleep beneath a moon
that hangs in a blue sky.
It shines bright
as it sets upon the
earth's western skyline;
As i write
The blood i bleed
mixes with the ink;
It forms words that coalesce and burn holes through the page;
I stand before you as i take my last bow on stage;
I shall fade away

MYSPACE HELP -- do profile views go up when you view someone`s pictures ?
let`s say you views someone`s profile , so that`s one view
then you click on all their pictures , for example , 5
is that 6 profile views or 1 ?

no the profile views only go up for just that...but if you view a persons profile more than one time a day it will only still count as one somehow it keeps track of who's page you have already viewed

ok, so i have other photos uploaded, but when i go to edit to change the profile pic, it only gives me the option of changing pics from a profile picture album, and theres only 1 pic there. But when i go to upload photos, i don't have the option of uploading to the profile pic album, nor can i move the current pics to that album. Am i stuck with the same pic forever?
