On the myspace music profiles how do put up a picture at the top of the profile? im not talking about header?

You just need a url to the image you wanna use. This is the code.

Just adjust the height # value. Remember that this will not show up in the preview mode. You will need to save the changes before you'll see it in your profile. You can also change the vertical-align:top; to vertical-align:bottom; if you want the navigation links below your picture.

No. An adult profile means that you can view some adult content or enter adult areas. That's it. Consider your pics being deleted as a warning.

You still must follow the Yahoo Terms of Service (http://info.yahoo.com/legal/us/yahoo/uto... ) and guidelines for any Yahoo services such as Yahoo! 360:

There are parts of your 360 that are always seen by the public (even to those without 360 accounts...i.e. via search engines like Google): your personal profile pics, background and friends module. This is partially why any mature/adult content must be confined to your blog area under mature content controls. Mature content includes text and pictures (sexually suggestive, semi-nude, or nude).

NOTE: If you do not follow the mature content guidelines, you are violating the 360 community guidelines, which could make your page open toward abuse reports, violation notices, and possible shutdown of the entire account. Mature guidelines are in place to protect visitors (friends or not) that are under the age of 18.

The blog is the only area that has mature content controls. Set your entire blog to mature content or specific entries. It doesn't matter if your blog is only for friends or not OR how people get to your 360:

- You can access blog settings by clicking the "Settings" link at the top and clicking "Blog Settings" on the left OR while in "My Blog" clicking "Edit Blog Settings" in the top center of the 360 window. If you set it for the entire blog now, you still have to go back to previous entries and check any that contain mature/adult content.

- For individual entries, click the "Edit" link below an entry, click the "Show Options" link and check the mature content option, then re-save.

UPDATE: After you do the above (put revealing pics in your blog under mature content controls), then you shouldn't receive further violation notices.

Want old Profile Back!!!!!?

Ok 360 is now the only thing people can see when they go to my profile and the only thing I can see now as well. I have tried to change the display me as thing to the first one and set everything to private and it still links this stupid 360 page. I have had this 360 page for months and it has never been the default, this just started this week what the hell????? Does anyone have any other ideas on how to get my old profile back I mean I can't even see my photo albums any more.

Why won't my profile redirect to my 360 page anymore?

I have my Yahoo 360 settings selected to link my Yahoo profile (http://profiles.yahoo.com/gke71) to my Yahoo 360 (http://360.yahoo.com/gke71). It used to work but now when you go to the profile page, it doesn't redirect to the 360 anymore. Anyone know how to fix this?

You might want to check your 360º Settings--under Basic Info is a checkbox marked "Activate my Simple URL"--this setting controls, in your case:

Addendum: Thank you for the update on the situation. At this point, I'd have to admit being stumped. Yahoo! normally uses a 26-character alphanumeric code for each profile; I don't track these codes outside of those I need as backups for my own profile accesses. At this point, it's probably a job for Y! Customer Care and Support.

if you delet some of your IDs your ID will be delete frome your friends list and they want be able to send you message

but your defaul email will not change and any people can send you email if they have your email address

I am not sure how this person got my IM/YAHOO ID. I just signed into IM and it popped up. I have requested details from this person. They have not responded. I want to know, how can this happen, and what can I do to prevent it from happening again. I know you can lock out people not on your list in IM, but I want to know how they got my info in the first place, and I thought you needed to "invite" someone to IM first. My 360' Profile is "Personal", as well as my Yahoo Profile. (to my knowledge)...so how do people get this info?

How to get my ADULT yahoo ID & profile to show BACK on yahoo IM ?

My 94 yahooIM buddies know and approved me by my ADULT Default yahoo ID and profile, about 5 yrs ago.

But after unwitting changes I made 2 yrs ago..when yahoo said everyone's real name had to be there,my REAL NAME yahooID is showing up on yahoo IM and my adult buds say who is that ? About 2 years ago I somehow unwittingly was made to move these buds all over to my real name !

Why does my 'View Profile' not work in the messenger window?

I can't seem to check out anyones profile any more in the Action section of the messenger window. I click on Actions and go to Contact Options and then Veiw Profile but it stops there and wont show profile. Any help out there ???

make a copy of the foler "profiles" for having your chats saved.

then uninstall the yahoo messenger fully.

shift+delete the folder of yahoo messenger in your program files.

install the ym! again and before login, copy paste the folder profiles if you have copied it.

login to ym! and try to view a profile.

if not solved then the problem is for windows.

download the "regcure" program , setup it and solve the problems.

How do you find someone's Q%26amp;A Profile, even if you don't know what any of their questions were about? I know if you click on a person's name below their question, you get their profile, but I don't know how to find it if you haven't seen any of their questions.

Unfortunately, they've disabled the nickname search. You used to be able to do that when you went to "Advanced" search (right next to the search bar).

But, you still may want to try it and type in their user name. Sometimes their name will be mentioned in the question, especially if they got a best answer.

The other thing you can try is to use Google. Sometimes, I've found that works much better to find a user than searching on this site. A bit ironic.

Actually, prior to the public site (officially launched to the public Dec 7, 2005), there was an alpha site where they tested things out. I read that it started August, 2005, but perhaps there were a few people from Yahoo who preregistered.

Youre not going to find anything that tracks people that specific. The best you can find is IP address if they dont have a tracker installed. If you pay any amount for a tracker, you would be wasting your money, and possibly putting yourself at risk for ID fraud.

My computer is showing my myspace profile picture just fine, but my friends computer is showing a red x where my picture should be. it is just for my profile tho. the rest of her friends have their profile pictures showing. There's likely too many tabs open in the browser, or the bandwidth is stretched on that page w/ too many embeds, files, pictures, etc.

Either way, there is an apparent lack of memory, so try deleting your browsing history %26amp; cache to clear out some space %26amp; help with loading. Keep in mind also that there may be issues with the website as well.

when people click the comment box, it takes them home.

you have to go to "view all" then "add comment" in order to post.

Why i'm unable to chat with others by using my new profile ID?

I am using 6 other profiles on my Yahoo default ID. I can chat %26amp; join rooms using these profiles or my default ID. But some days ago when i deleted one of my profile %26amp; create a new profile, i come to know that i am unable to join any chat room by using my new profile %26amp; also i can't receive other's messages until i sign out %26amp; sign in back. when i join a room by using my new profile,after verification i can't see users %26amp; these messages in room. But when i join a room by using my other old profiles, i can see users, their messages %26amp; can chat with them. plz tell me how can i chat with my new profile?

Vertical pressure profile in the boundary layer?

Within the framework of my research, I make the assumption that the vertical logarithmic profile of wind velocity in the boundary layer induces a vertical pressure profile. This result is confirmed experimentally since when I measure the difference in pressure between 2 points located at 15 and 45 cm of the ground (ddp).

Moreover, my experimental relation between ddp and horizontal wind velocity is closed to that which one would obtain by considering that it rises, by Bernoulli, of the vertical gradient of the horizontal wind component.

However, Bernoulli is not applicable since I m not on a current line and I m in turbulent conditions.

How can I justify the presence of this gradient?

No, Bernouilli is not applicable here.

I think you need to apply the complete Navier-Stokes equations for turbulent, compressibile flow amplifying what is happening in the boudary layer and with some simplifications to the equation (like gravity, I think). Of course the boundary conditions on the boudary layer must coincide with the boundary conditions in the external flow. If I remember, when the equation is solved, you get a velocity profile depending from the distance from the beginning of the boundary layer (i.e. vertical) expressed as the ratio of the velocity to the "unperturbed" velocity (the one in the external flow). Once you have the velocity obtaining the pressure profile is not to difficult. Hope I've given you some advice.

but still can’t understand what is ddp short for; how is that "experimental relation is closed" !? And why don’t you just avoid turbulence? Can you express it more clearly?

♠ ah-ah, ? does it mean: 1) you’ve got abundant reliable experimental data, 2) you tried a couple of formal math models that contain some undefined parameters;

♣ So the task is to find now the most satisfactory model with the less number of parameters the better, isn’t it? if so use regression analysis!

put up the each code at a time %26amp; then preview your page. that way you can figure out what exactly is causing the problem.
Reply:go through all your headline, about me, music, heroes, book and so on sections and delete all codes in each one of 'em... seems like your account has been phished... and then you need to change your password. and then you can try some layouts... and check your "edit friends" also, if you have friends on your list and it says "deleted" on there then you have to delete those too...

Yes you should be able to...check and make sure that all the numbers and spacing is right...and any Underscores(_) are in the right place

That is the way it is suppose to work, but there's some sort of Yahoo glitch preventing that option from working and the 360 staff seems to be ignoring the problem.

When you delete a question it remains in "My Profile" question list with a status of deleted. Deleted answers seem to actually get deleted.

Are deleted questions only visible in your own view? If you look at another person's questions in their profile do you see the deleted questions?

Does this mean that even when you delete a question it remains in the Yahoo database forever? Someone at Yahoo with the correct clearance could look at all of your deleted questions.

It's 2 weeks since my BT opt 3 was activated and I have seen no increase in my download speeds .--Todays bt Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.

DSL connection rate: 288 kbps(UP-STREAM) 2272 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)

Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1824 kbps

Should my line profile be more than 2000kbps, bt support suggests that my cp usage is too high (fluctuating between 5-75) and I shoul add extra ram or remove some programmes. Would this improve my download speed or do I have a stuck profile. Thanks.

Why can't I delete a yahoo profile?

The profile in question is not my Yahoo ID nor default profile. When I click on "delete profile" and then "confirm delete" - I am prompted to and have entered my password everytime but still cannot delete the profile because I am led back to the re-login page over and over again. I followed the advice of a previous "answer" - that is to go to the account details page and try to delete the profile from it - but that doesn't work either.

We're having some problems with slow logins and edit profile this morning. Sorry! We are working to fix it right now. If you see the 'safe mode' edit next to your edit profile, you're not going to be able to edit your profile. To fix it, you'll have to logout and log back in.

We think we know what is causing this bug, so we'll but we're putting a bandaid fix on it this morning and will have a permanent fix later tonight! So sorry! :-/

Check to see if you have cleaned the cookies and history, it would be a good idea if you did a disk cleanup as well. I think if your not able acess it, it may be yahoo servers that are over loaded, with all the bad weather all over everyone is kinda stuck inside looking ofr something to do.

Best Low profile video card for my pc?

I have a Dell optiplex GX 620.

Specs are: Intel Pentium 4 / 1Gi of ram / Windows Xp pro.

Since its a slim design Pc I am looking for a low profile video card, even better if it comes with the low profile bracket(s). I am looking to spend between $75-$120

This actually depends o the type of slot that's available on your motherboard. After some searches I found that most of them have a PCI-E slot so you could probably actually go with a higher end budget card like the Nvidia 8600. The only concern here is whether or not you actually have enough space in your computer to house this card with enough airflow to keep it cool.

What I recommend is going on newegg.com and looking at cards from Nvidia's 7000 and 8000 series and checking the dimensions of each card under the specifications tab. Once you find one that will fit be sure to buy a PCI slot fan to go along with it. The PCI slot fan will be set under your video card and pull out a good amount of hot air to keep your system cool.

Can some very kind person pls provide me with a mini profile on practicial antibiotics and bacteria profiles?

Eg- All I know is like:

Staph = Flucoxacillin

Strep = Amoxicillin

UTI = Trimethoprim

etc... (I know the above is a gross over simplication)

Generally - I just want to be able to think of the correct antibiotic for correct condition off the top of my head.

Its a big ask, and help would be appreciated.

It is easier to learn the common infections, learn the most common causative organisms and then learn the antibiotics.

You will remember better that way

there are many strains of bacteria and many resistance patterns.

Anyone use profile amps...How do they sound?Opinions?

Im going to switch from a hifonics brutus 1606 to a profile ap2000 so i can run the speakers at 4 ohm bridged.....will this sound better than how they do now? they are wired @ 1ohm now. With the profile it is 960x1 RMS @ 4 ohm bridged, so my 10" L7's will get 480 each. SOund like a good idea?

Sounds like a good idea to me.

If you want new, go for it. If you would buy a refurb to save some cash there are other (Profile) options. You should look around for a previous generation California series amp, one that is the equivalent to the AP2000 (output-wise). Specifically, look for a CA1200, which has the same rated output as the AP2000, but is probably $100 less when purchased as a refurb.

I own 4 Profile amps, at the moment. They are all from previous generations of the California series, and they were each purchased as a refurb w/ a 1 year warranty. I have a pair of CA200 (AP400 equiv.), a CA800 (AP1200 equiv.), and a 400SX (AP600 equiv.). I got them as a refurb from Profile directly, and they were extremely cheap.

However, they are bullet proof in my car environment. Never a complaint out of any of them. Plus, I ran each of them (full range) into my Dynaudio bookshelf speakers to verify their operation when I first received them. There are certainly not any soundquality issues with any of these models, either. Not when run purely off a battery, any way.
Reply:Im not familiar with profile amplifiers, but I heard that they are decent budget amps. I am however using a brutus 2006 right now and thats a good amp. what kind of L7's do u have? that 1606 should be one ohm stable which means if you can wire them down to 1 ohm they will get 800 RMS a piece. and 1100 watts at 2 ohms which will be 550 a piece. You should be able to wire the L7's to either 1 or 2 ohms which means you're better off staying with what you have.

I think you'd be better off with what u have now. if you want more real power at a cheap price then upgrade to a bigger hifonics amp.

for best results use a kicker amp or at least one that is CEA compliant so that you are properly powering your subs (if you want to be cheap, look into JBL they are CEA compliant, even Dual is too)

you need 1200 watts RMS (CEA compliant)

Am planning to hop into a new industry\profession and i'm in need of some advice.

2 yrs Technical Specialist in a US IT mnc company

1 1/2 yrs Info Security Officer (IT Governance) in a US Bank

Currently in a Swiss bank doing IT support job while studying part time towards getting an ACCA qualification.

Completed F1 - F3 paper and i'm wondering with the experience \ exposure i have in previous employment will i be able to get a job in the accounting line ?

Most of the openings i come across requires prerequisites \ experience in accounting.. which some how really discouraging.

So it would be great if someone can advice me whether with my profile, will i be able to get myself an accounting job ?

The police can trace it back to the ip address where it was created. However most of the time for something as small as that they wont even bother. It takes a computer investagative team to do something like that and most police departments are to cheap for that. The most that would happen is they minght question the other girl and they minght put a restraining order on her. now they minght trace it back im not positive but usually they would rather not. They also minght not do anything and just say kids will be kids you never know with the police.

Youtube always compresses and stretches photos and videos, so the best advice I can give you is to crop the photo on photoshop or another program to the exact size of the box on your profile

Can't upload picture to yahoo PROFILE.?

I can not upload my picture to my yahoo Profile. The other answers I've seen tell you haw to upload your picture to your yahoo!answers profile. I have not problem with that. I just can't upload to my regualr yahoo!profile. I've already created a 360 profile, and the other directions I've found don't match up with what I am seeing. Different version or something? I am having the same problem. I contacted yahoo's customer care for the member directory just today and received the following response: "We assure you that we are aware of the "Photo Upload" issue and have escalated this to our Engineering Department for further investigation. We hope to have it resolved as soon as possible." I understand your frustration and I guess there is nothing we can do about it. If you have a photo on another site and are comfortable doing so, you can add that to your profile with a link or you can create a photo album with a select picture or pictures and make it viewable to the public and direct people there as well. well you can click on the messenger at the top and it will take you to their profile. However that doesn't take you to their webcam. There is a icon for that in messenger. You have to click that and allow them to view your webcam or they have to permit you to view theirs.

If you have and the problem continues, click on the 'No' button located at the bottom of the page, fill out the form that loads, and click 'Send' to escalate the issue to the Yahoo! Member Directory customer care team. Here is the information from that page:

You Tube profile update?

When I try to update my profile, I input all my info and then click "update channel" at the bottom of the page, but nothing happens. If I click the "update channel" at the top, it says it's been updated, but nothing shows on my page. All of the other update catagories work, but the personal profile one isn't. Is it on my end or is something wrong with their site?

Can I copy Domain Profile in to local profile?

can I copy Domain Profile in to local profile without login into a domain. My problem is I delete the domain mistakenly. now I can not log back in using the same user(domain user). So I created a local user and I want to copy everything from domain user. unfortunately I can not see domain user from user account in control panel. any solution to this prolem?

When you unregister the computer from the domain -

Firstly only an administrator can do that, secondly if you have Domain controller password you can re-register it back to the domain..

But if you just want to copy the profile ,just copy the important stuff rest would simply take up space.

You have to first login as local administrator

or change the local user account from restricted user to computer Administrator.

I don't understand how 'hide profile' and 'who's viewed me' on Match.com work...?

Match.com says 'As long as you both have a visible Portrait, you can see anyone who has been looking at you and anyone you're checking out will know it, too. ' But then they say that if you do not want someone to know you have looked at their profile, you should hide your profile.

So, I'm confused. If I look at someone's portrait with my profile hidden, but then later on I make it visible again, will I show up in their 'who's viewed me?' search once my profile is visible? Or does hiding my portrait when I look at theirs mean they won't be able to tell at all that I have viewed them, even once my portrait is visible again?

How do I change my myspace profile back to BASIC after I have used the myspace profile editor?

Go back into that editor and SAVE every thing with default settings. (no codes, coloring, borders...just make everything the way it was when you initially entered the editor!!)

OK, I went through this so I could tell u exactly how to get a profile. Click on "my account" next to ur UserID at the top center of the page in Yahoo Answers. U will be prompted for ur password, then it will take u to ur acct where u can "create/edit" ur profile. Just follow the screen instructions. For more help, go to Yahoo help.

U can also access ur acct by clicking on ur UserID in the upper right portion of the screen of Yahoo Mail.

so i have a blog in yahoo, I don't have the pard called "Places I've lived" in my profile. I just found out that if i'm not over 18 then i can't have that part, so I'm wondering If in 3 years (I'm 15 now), when I'm over 18, will yahoo change my age in my profile so i can have the part called "places i've lived"? But you can try to click on the 'edit personal information' and on the top of the page to the right is expert settings, click on that. If it does not show or work then you need to wait until you are 18.

But you should know that it is best not to give out that information on any web site. This is dangerous to do. For the young and the old/.

I currently have AIM triton and i love the program, so i refuse to give it up. Unfortunately, I used to update my profile, but now it freezes everytime i try .. is there a fix i can download? or is there a separate profile editor program out there?

You have to use the default myspace editor. It doesn't work with the premade layouts. If you can find the same background, not an entire layout, you can copy and paste the URL (not the html code). Good places to look for similar backgrounds would be a website like Photobucket.com

Once you find a background, copy the URL. Log into your myspace account and find the link for Myspace Editor. It's located on your homepage. Click on that link. Next click on the tab that says Customize. After that, click on the background tab. Next, you will need to choose "Background Image." Click on the box that says "Use Image." Paste the URL underneath it. Click on Save.

You can also use the photos in your photo albums as backgrounds. Or save a background image as a jpeg and add it to your album. That's the method my sister used on her profile. If you use this method, all you have to do is click on the "My Photos" link and scroll down until you find the picture/image you want to use. Just click on the photo and the URL pops up by itself. All you have to do after that is click save.
