Your primary profile is always active?

I have a yahoo account, and I got 2 yahoo ID-s.


I merged them together ...


My problem is that I'd like to somehow inactivate the old one ...


For example in the messenger, right now people can see both my ID-s online. I'd like them to be able to see only the new one.


In Yahoo messenger menu there is a submenu: "My profiles"


this one lets me activate inactivate a "yahoo ID" ... BUT NOT THE OLD ONE.


For the old one it says: "Your primary profile is always active"


How can i make that secondary?

From your main yahoo messenger click MESSENGER..scroll down to VIEW MY PROFILES..clilck on that...when that small page opens you can see all the id's that you have under that primary ID...next to each name is a arrow , push that arrow which enables the options ACTIVE or INACTIVe...highlight the one you want and then at the bottom of the page click OK or CLOSE...
